you can share all of your music with 5 different people in your house of your friends house, how far can you go with this? You can listen to anything on thier library but cannot be copied to your library. It could help you find the music you like that your friend has,
but then, do you illegally download it, or actually buy it? Unless you want to hurt the band you like, you should probably buy it instead of adding to it's popularity on linewire, and but the CD instead of of iTunes, or amazon.
Regarding how much musicians make on tour for your excuse of "they make tons of money on tour so what does it matter if I (one person) download it illegally"?
Overall, illegal downloading of music is becoming so easy and so popular that it takes many bands and people with lives out of the music industry because if everyone downloads the one hit that they had in their life, they end up losing money instead of making a living off of a singular hit like you could 10 years. Also this can open up to a whole new world of who makes the standards on music and how people get it. The government could control it, or, will this continue until the music industry is destroyed by the inside from this. Accessing music legally is great, but as you can see, not to many people think it is, and it illegal should become legal.
